Caroline Gardner - Veterinary Surgeon
Caroline Gardner BVSc Cert SAS MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon

Born and brought up in Haverfordwest, Caroline qualified from Bristol in 1996 and has been at The Oak ever since, becoming a partner in 2009.  Caroline is now our Small Animal Clinical Director.

Caroline obtained her Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2004 and has been on the RCVS list of Advanced Practitioners since 2015, with a particular interest in soft tissue surgery, and also carries out most of our orthopaedic surgery.

From the many cruciate surgeries Caroline has had to perform over the years, she has further developed an interest in arthritis, mobility and physical rehabilitation and holds a Level 3 certificate in Small Animal hydrotherapy, as well as carrying out acupuncture, stem cell and platelet-rich plasma therapy. As part of our arthritis and mobility care, Caroline introduced the first aquatic treadmill to Pembrokeshire in 2018.

Caroline also has a packed out-of-work life with her family and 2 teenagers, volunteering as a leader within Girlguiding, and involved in her village community. She is passionate about Pembrokeshire, and making sure our local pets have access to full veterinary services within the county.

Due to injury, Caroline has downgraded her trail-running hobby to walking, as she loves to spend time outside with her dogs - the muddier the better! She is also an avid reader and vegetable gardener, often with a cat for company.
