Leslie-Anne Harvey - Veterinary Surgeon
Leslie-Anne Harvey MA VetMB MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon

After qualifying from Cambridge Vet School in 1993 Leslie-Anne moved to Oxfordshire, spending her first 12 years as a vet in mixed practice,  then moving into primarily small animal first opinion work. Leslie-Anne enjoys all aspects of being a general practitioner, but has developed a particular interest in the treatment of our more elderly pets, including palliative care, and the assessment and maintenance of quality of life. She has also gained experience with 'small furries', and is listed by the BHWT as a practitioner for backyard chickens after completing further training at the St David’s Poultry Unit in Devon.

More recently Leslie-Anne was fortunate to work in a small practice alongside visiting specialists in a number of disciplines, and she particularly enjoyed the experience of monitoring patients in the mobile CT scanning lorry. Leslie-Anne has also been involved in providing a home visiting compassionate end of life care service.

After many years visiting Pembrokeshire, and taking a sabbatical to walk the Welsh Coastal Path (fundraising for her favourite charity, Medecins Sans Frontieres), she made the decision to move west at the end of 2019. At home Leslie-Anne enjoys caring for her own pets - Tomasz (a Cat Protection lad who is FIV positive and diabetic), and her veteran grey New Forest mare Pepper. In her spare time Leslie-Anne enjoys cooking, reading, running, swimming and walking. And she is currently trying to learn Welsh...! Leslie-Anne occasionally manages to grab some quality time with her busy daughter Lauren, who is a university student and RAF reservist.
